General Mills Canada makes a bold move in temporarily removing its mascot, Buzz, the Honey Nut Cheerios bee from its cereal boxes in order to raise awareness to the plight of the declining bee population worldwide.  The visual impact of Buzz’s disappearance is striking. Such a prime example of the power of packaging to communicate a brand’s values.
